Your designs stay on your device
No account is required, and your designs are not automatically uploaded. The current website and studio have no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking integrations. The website's hosting service processes connection information, and contacting us by email shares the information you send.
What the studio remembers locally
The studio uses your browser's local storage, or storage within the installed app, for these functions:
- Saved work: Your saved dial designs, names, timestamps, geometry, colors, and local recovery copies let you reopen or recover your work. Machine and CNC study settings that you save also stay on your device.
- Your workspace: Theme, layout, panel sizes and open panels, favorites, recent designs, and other preferences help the studio remember your choices between visits.
- Welcome and update messages: Local flags remember dismissed guidance and the current release-notes version so these messages need not repeat unnecessarily. The release-notes version is first recorded when you open the studio.
These records support the studio's functions; they are not sent to an analytics or advertising service. Local storage can remain until you delete it or your browser or device removes it. It is specific to that browser or app installation and does not automatically sync to another device.
Managing your local data
You can remove individual saved designs in the studio. To remove all of the website's local designs and preferences, use your browser's site-data controls for dialstudio.app. Deleting one design does not clear other preferences or preserved recovery copies.
Back up your work before clearing site data. Export editable design JSON files or a library backup first. Clearing site data can erase saved designs and recovery copies; we do not hold an uploaded copy to restore for you. Your browser may also let you block local storage, which can prevent saving and remembering settings.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The current website and studio do not set advertising or analytics cookies and do not include advertising pixels, analytics services, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, can use security cookies when its security features are used, for example to remember a security check. These serve security rather than advertising. See Cloudflare's cookie information.
Website requests, exports, and external links
Opening or reloading the website requests its pages and app files from our host. Fonts and app assets are served with the site rather than loaded from third-party font or analytics services. Designing and preparing exports happens on your device.
- Exports and sharing: Export files are created locally. If you choose to share, email, or upload a file, the service you choose receives it under its own privacy policy.
- External links: Vendor, social, and other external links take you to third-party services with their own privacy policies. Opening a link does not automatically send them your saved dial designs.
Website hosting
The public website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering and protecting the site involves processing connection information such as your IP address, browser or user agent, request time, and requested page or file. This information supports delivery, security, and operation of the website; we do not use it for advertising or to track you across websites. Cloudflare describes its processing in its privacy policy.
Contact and support email
If you email us, we and the email providers handling the message receive your address, message, and any attachments you include. We use that information to respond and handle your request. Please send only the information needed for your question. You can also contact us here about privacy or request deletion of messages you have sent us.

Children's privacy
Guilloche Dial Studio is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for the App Store Kids Category. Guilloche Dial Studio does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our data practices change. Features such as accounts, cloud sync, or analytics would need their own disclosures and any choices required before they are introduced.
